So much to say...so little space

Needless to say I have neglected the blog that I was so determined to update throughout the years in order to keep everyone updated with the Bakers and life as we know it in Kentucky. I know - I suck!

With that out of the way, I guess I have to start somewhere to get back into the swing of things...but I am not sure exactly where to begin. We have had some additions and some losses. Happy times...sad times...but since the last post in December, my kentucky fried life has changed...DRAMATICALLY.

I will try to go in order...an addition is first. My step-granddaughter Grey Rowan Baker was born on March 9th. She is such a sweet, funny baby and is now nearing 9 months...5 teeth...crawling everywhere...and head banging to music.

Next came a loss. I lost my spirited and loving grandma in March. She was our one and only Cupidean and the only person I know that could pay people in hugs! I truly believe that heaven gained an angel the day she left us and I know that one day I will be able to hug her again.  I miss her everyday!

Also in March (shew...it was a busy month) came another addition to the family. My little niece Lilly Marie Berkhimer was born on March 25th. Lilly was born with many health complications and remained under the care of the talented doctors at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for around 5 months. She truly is a miracle and every picture I see of her brings a smile to my face. Lilly is now almost 8 months and is doing great. She is keeping her parents on their toes for sure. I can't wait for her and her parents to come visit over Thanksgiving!

And finally...the grand finale of 2013...our new addition...Nolan Berk Baker. Nolan arrived on September 27, 2013, which was about 17 days early to my relief. Owen was 2 weeks late, so having one come early was great. Not knowing what the gender was, Mike and I were so excited to meet the little person inside of me. Nolan was just as excited to meet us apparently because he didn't take his sweet time. By the time I got to the hospital, he came in an hour and a half.

Jacob, Owen and Nolan

Owen's just a little happy to meet his new baby brother

Nolan is now almost 8 weeks old and I can't imagine my life without him. Owen is pretty smitten with his new brother and loves to hold him. It's amazing to see both Owen and Jacob interact with their brother. I absolutely love my family!

It's so much fun to watch both of my boys grow. Why does it have to happen so fast? It makes me sad but I am trying to enjoy every moment as a mom.

2013 has been one amazing, busy year... and it's not even over yet. I can honestly say that I am one blessed woman to have a wonderful husband and amazing children. My goal now is to keep everyone posted with the next days, weeks and months to come. It may be a little boring compared to the last few months but I will do my best to make it as exciting as possible.

Love y'all!
